Harry Reid is smuggling the anti-faith Hate Crimes bill through the Senate — this week! See below. –Mat

I have just learned that Harry Reid is rushing the anti-faith
so-called Hate Crimes bill to the floor of the Senate THIS WEEK!
Reid is bypassing the regular process and attaching Hate Crimes
as an amendment to the Defense Authorization bill which Congress must pass in order to fund our military.
In essence, Majority Leader Reid is sneaking this bill through
as an amendment because he knows opposition is growing and he
fears the bill may not survive on its own.
Anthony, this is outrageous! I need your help RIGHT NOW in two vitally important ways…

I need you to fax your senators right now and tell them you oppose the Hate Crimes amendment that is being rushed through the Senate this week. We can stop this end run, but only if enough concerned Americans sound the alarm!

fast-tracking of the anti-faith Hate Crimes bill.
Talking Points:
1. I am very disappointed that the Senate is fast-tracking the Hate
Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 (H.R. 1913) by attaching it as
an amendment to the Defense Authorization bill.
2. This Hate Crimes bill is so controversial that it must be
considered as a stand-alone bill, not rushed as an amendment.
3. I oppose the Hate Crimes Prevention Act and urge you to oppose
it as well. It is an attack on faith and family while granting
special rights based on “sexual orientation” and “gender
identity,” terms which are not even clearly defined in the bill.
I warned everyone I could a few weeks ago that Senate Majority
Leader Reid might try this tactic, and now it is happening.
Even worse, they are using the cover of Sonia Sotomayor’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings in hopes that the media and grassroots Americans like you will not take notice!
